Several options are available depending on your desire for immersion. A one-day trip provides a first glimpse of the culture and local way of life. The 2-day, 1-night option offers a deeper immersion, with more time to share and understand daily life. Finally, the 3-day, 2-night stay allows for a complete experience, truly becoming part of the family and fully living at the community’s rhythm.

$110 per person for 1 day, ideal for a first glimpse of local life.
$140 per person for 2 days and 1 night, to deepen the experience and share more with the family.
$205 per person for 3 days and 2 nights, a complete immersion to truly become part of the family.
All stays include meals, transportation, and activities. Children under 12: half price.
Adventure, culture, and nature: your Yorkín experience program
The meeting point is set in Puerto Viejo around 8:00 AM. After a car ride to the river, the adventure begins with a canoe ride of about an hour and a half through the dense Talamanca jungle, a spectacular journey along the water. Upon arrival at the Bribri village of Yorkín, you will be welcomed by a local family with whom you will share your stay.
Depending on the duration chosen, the program includes discovering Bribri culture, learning to make traditional chocolate from cacao, an introduction to medicinal plants used for generations, and relaxing moments such as swimming in nearby rivers and waterfalls. Traditional meals are shared with the family in a simple and warm atmosphere. The next day, after lunch, it’s time to take the canoe back, heart filled with memories and emotions. A one-day option is also available for those who wish to discover Yorkín in a single day while experiencing the essence of this unique adventure.
